さて、僕は現在、こちらの本でバラの勉強をしています。
鈴木満男氏監修の『決定版 美しく咲かせる バラ栽培の教科書』という本です。
ちなみに、前回の学習内容はこちらです。
本日は15日目ということで、バラの各部の名称について学びます。(p.26-p.27)
バラに関する書籍や動画を見ていると、いろんな名称が出てきますよね。
例えば、
「バラの剪定は”五枚葉”を一つ以上つけて切れ」
とか
「“シュート”をピンチしろ」
とかね。
初心者の僕には??な単語ばかりです(^_^;)
そこで本日は、これだけは覚えておきたいバラの名称を学んでいきます。
これを覚えればロザリアン達の会話についていけること間違いなし？
早速いってみましょう！
まずは花まわりの名称です。
花弁・・・花びらのこと
花冠・・・花びらの集まった部分。花弁全体。
花首・・・花が頭とすると、人間で言う首の部分。
がく・・・花冠を外側から包む部分。
止葉・・・花茎の最上位にある葉。花が咲くよりも先にこの葉が出てきたら、 「次に花が咲く、株が終わる」という目安になる。
葉腋・・・葉のつけ根のこと。ここから脇芽が出ることが多い。
五枚葉・・・一つの枝に葉が五枚ついてる枝のこと。剪定でよく登場する用語。他には三枚葉や七枚葉がある。
トゲ・・・皆さんご存知、美しいバラにあるチクチクする部分です。バラが若いうちは取らない方が良いとされています。
続いて、根元から先端までの名称です。
シュート・・・株の根もとや枝の途中から出てくる新しい芽のこと。シュートの中で、根もとから出る主幹となるものを特にベーサルシュート、主幹から枝分かれして出てくるものをサイドシュートと言う。
株もと・・・バラの株の根元の部分。
新芽・・・芽かきで重要になってくる部分。
つぼみ・・・花のまだ開かないもの。

今回学んだ用語は、これから度々耳にすると思うのでしっかり覚えておきたいですね。
